Faculty cluster hires launched in climate science, sustainable development, environmental justice
The new school has launched cluster hires focused on climate science and on sustainable development and environmental justice.
The focus of the environmental justice and sustainable development search, being led by Marshall Burke, associate professor of Earth system science, is on risks from global environmental change to people and the planet, including adapting to, planning for, and reducing such risks, and in understanding how risks and impacts differ across populations. The climate science search is being led by Noah Diffenbaugh, professor of Earth system science, and invites candidates from any area of climate science.
Both searches are looking for candidates committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment and values diversity of genders, races and ethnicities, cultures, physical and learning differences, sexual orientations and identities, veteran status, and work and life experiences.
